Join David Milnes and the ensemble for a concert of music from a variety of American composers, spanning a broad range of styles, backgrounds and generations. Elliott Carter celebrates his 100th birthday this year; Mario Diaz de León is just establishing his reputation at age 29. In between these two extremes of age is a treasury of American music, representing composers born as far away as China and Argentina, works inspired by natural beauty, and an irreverent look at one composer’s dream life. The newest piece in Mario Davidovsky’s Pulitzer-winning Synchronisms series, played by clarinetist Carey Bell, is not to be missed.

Composers Mario Diaz de León, Lei Liang and Dmitri Tymoczko will participate in a pre-concert talk, moderated by David Milnes.

$28 general, $23 senior, $10 student
