Zone 2 presents a variety of unconducted small ensembles in pieces that explore the essential functions of music - in the body, in society, or as a response to war. This is a diverse program of chamber music that highlights the virtuosity and adventurous spirit of the Players. An early work by John Cage for piano, two percussionists, and a radio or phonograph brings the concert to a close.
