The ensemble bursts forth with three exuberant pieces it originated. Multi-talented, in-demand violinist Carla Kihlstedt solos in the world premiere of Liderman’s compelling new concerto. Longtime harbinger and nurturer of American composers, the ensemble re-examines hard-hitting music from Sheinfeld and Mackey and immerses itself in Feldman’s haunting piece for clarinet and two percussionists.
