WHY NEW MUSIC
Every time has its own ethos: the music of our time resonates with who we are and what we experience—it breathes the same air we do.
WHY US
We have been sharing musical adventures with audiences since 1971. We search next door and around the world to find the best in contemporary musical art – offering listeners the deepest spiritual, intellectual, and emotional experience possible through our concerts, events, and outreach in the Bay Area.
The group serves as the hub of a growing artistic community that embraces outstanding composers working in a variety of contemporary styles, as well as performing musicians and other artists, all involved in the evolution of a new body of repertoire. Our programming mission, therefore, is primarily contemporary and forward looking rather than historical.
Become part of a new music community as international as the San Francisco Bay Area, and connect with living composers from around the world.
